Atishi, the departing chief minister of Delhi, stated on Thursday that the city has been experiencing power outages for the past three days since the AAP lost support in the nation's capital.
The top AAP politician claimed that the BJP intends to transform Delhi into Uttar Pradesh, a place where power shortages last for hours.
The BJP did not immediately respond to the situation.
During a news conference, Atishi asserted that after the AAP was removed from power in Delhi, over 40 outages were reported from various parts of the city within three days, and that people had since begun purchasing inverters.
"Under the AAP government, the power sector was continuously monitored which has now collapsed within three days with BJP coming to power," she said.
She claimed that the BJP is inexperienced in running the government and that it will cause a protracted power outage in Delhi similar to that in Uttar Pradesh.
After 26 years, the BJP regained power in Delhi after defeating the AAP in the February 5 elections, taking 48 of the 70 Assembly seats.
In Delhi, the party has not yet formed a government.
